Q&A

how many companies are attending?
Obviously, we can't say for sure how many will visit the event exactly, but we can tell you about our efforts:
• We sent invitations directly to over 2,000 individuals, companies, and associations.
With a number of organizations willing to pass the information on to their members, the number of people who directly received invitations is now well over the original 2,000.
• We have had a strong PR campaign that has included sending releases to over 85 publications and media outlets, getting air time on radio and television stations, and working with area organizations to promote our event.
• We are distributing posters throughout the city targeting high-traffic areas and are continuing to promote the event extensively.
• We're looking for 200-300+ people to attend throughout the evening. It could be more, but we don't think less.

tip:We strongly suggest you contact your own clients and prospects about the event! Not only will it bring more people to the Showcase, but it will help you. Your clients will appreciate you taking the time to tell them about it, as opposed to the standard 'just calling to see if you have any work for me' calls they usually get. Also, it gives you a non-sales excuse to contact prospects that have been tough to get to or that you really want to work with.

what types of companies are attending?
We made sure at the beginning stages of this event that a wide variety of industries would be invited. The advertising, PR, design, and marketing industries have been heavily targeted, but that's not all. We directly invited the top companies from the worlds of banking, insurance, real estate, engineering, architecture, Internet development, education, travel, retail, and the list goes on and on. The point is, there will be a very good cross-section of company types and sizes which should fit everyone's client profile. TIP: Since there will be such a variety of companies, you should bring marketing materials and samples that cover a wide spectrum, if you in fact, cover a wide spectrum.

when should i arrive?
Due to the number of exhibitors, parking, and traffic, we ask that exhibitors please arrive by 12:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Showcase will open to exhibitors only at 2:00 and guests at 3:00 pm. The event will conclude at 6:00 p.m. We will have a "greeter" at the door to watch your goods so you can unload your exhibit items at the door and then go park.

what about parking?
We have 2 pre-paid parking lots for exhibitors. The closest is 1 block north of the venue (north of Truman) at Grand and Truman with the second at Truman/Baltimore.
