What first began as an initial brainstorm in January of 2003 has now flourished into a large nonprofit organization in the Kansas City area. Catering to local freelancers, the group meets once a month to discuss issues that are relevant to those self-employed in the industry. Topics range from taxes and health insurance to time management and self-promotion ... just to name a few.
At the functions, you can commiserate. Swap notes. And expand your network. You can come out to a happy hour or the 'company' holiday party at the end of the year. And as a member, you can be notified of project opportunities, be presented with important business strategies, and be listed in the directory for prospective clients. Individually, we are many resources. But together, we are one voice.
