Deanne Pearson.
At 18, Deanne Pearson thought she wanted to be an architect — until she got halfway through the architecture program at the University of Kansas. So she graduated with degrees in English and Art History, and found herself searching for a career in the pallid, uninspiring job market of the early ‘90s.
She taught herself publication design to make herself more marketable, and spent many fulfilling years writing and editing newsletters, designing company communications, and planning advertising campaigns for a variety of local companies and nonprofit organizations.
After detours into event planning and nonprofit leadership, Deanne made her way advertising. Since 2005 she has worked at Blacktop Creative as a Brand Navigator. She works with her clients to determine spot-on marketing strategies that are expressed in dynamic, quality creative executions. She keeps her teams on strategy, on time and on budget. And occasionally she even gets to write a little copy.
Dennis Pruitt.
Dennis, a VML partner and group creative director, uses his extensive experience in digital and traditional media to lead his team of copywriters and art directors to create and produce innovative work that is extremely effective for clients like: The American Cancer Society, YRC Worldwide, Sprint, and many other high-profile organizations. A copywriter by trade, Dennis and his team continue to be recognized for creative executions, consistently winning awards in both digital and traditional media.
He has a long history in the industry, beginning as an associate copywriter in 1972. He was a partner of his own agency, Harmon True Pruitt, then struck out on his own to form Pruitt Creative Services. In 2000, Dennis came to VML as a team creative director, and continues to help oversee the agency’s creative product in Kansas City.

David Morris.
In 2008 David Morris celebrated 20 years of business. The photography, though constantly changing, has continued to grow and diversify. We’ve not only managed to keep pace but to surpass expectation in a very dyanamic and changing industry. I’m very proud of the wide range of clients I’ve been fortunate enough to serve and equally proud of the results DM Photo has been able to give them.
